Privacy Notice

This notice describes what information may be collected when someone uses the site, why it is used, and when it may be shared. Continued use means acceptance of these practices.

Information That May Be Collected

Search terms entered in a sponsored search box pass to the third-party provider that operates it. A message sent voluntarily includes the contact details and text supplied by the sender. Web servers and analytics services may automatically record technical data such as an IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, pages viewed, and approximate visit time. Cookies or similar browser storage may remember preferences, measure traffic, support advertising, and help search partners operate their tools.

How Information Is Used

Collected information may be used to operate and secure the site, answer messages, understand which resources are useful, diagnose errors, measure visits, prevent abuse, and display or assess advertising. Search partners process submitted queries under their own terms. This site does not receive custody files from RCPD merely because a visitor searches a name.

When Data May Be Shared

Information may pass to search providers, hosting services, analytics vendors, and advertising networks as needed for their functions. It may also be disclosed to law enforcement or another authority when required by a valid legal order, or when reasonably needed to protect rights, safety, or the service. Personal information is not sold as an official Riley County record.

Outside Websites

Links lead to RCPD, courts, corrections agencies, news outlets, and other independent sites. Their privacy rules and collection practices apply after a visitor leaves this site. Review those rules before sending a name, document, payment detail, or other sensitive information.

Security and Retention

Reasonable safeguards are used, but no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed secure. Information is kept only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described, legal duties, dispute handling, and site security.

Children and Young People

This service is not intended for anyone under 18. It does not knowingly seek personal information from minors. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted information may use the Contact Us route to request review.

Your Privacy Choices

Visitors may block or delete cookies through browser controls, although some tools may then work poorly. Depending on applicable law, a person may ask to access, correct, or delete personal information supplied directly to this site. Requests may require identity verification. Information held by RCPD, a court, KDOC, or another linked publisher must be addressed to that custodian.

Changes to This Notice

This notice may change as services, vendors, or legal duties change. The revised version becomes effective when posted. Questions may be sent through Contact Us.
