St. George Arrest Routes
St. George has no police department of its own. It is an incorporated city, yes. But booking and custody fall to Riley County agencies that serve the whole county. The Riley County Police Department covers St. George, Manhattan, Ogden, and the rural stretches between them. There is no city arrest log, no local booking site, and no public mugshot portal for St. George itself.
That means the paperwork splits in two. If an arrest leads to local confinement, the Riley County Jail in Manhattan holds the booking and custody record, while RCPD keeps the police report. A report can list St. George as the location even though both offices sit in Manhattan. So search by where the event happened, then take your question to the office that actually keeps that record.
St. George Busted Record Sources
The reliable path starts with official county sources. RCPD Daily News can identify a recently published arrest. RCJ can say whether a person is currently held. RCPD Records handles a narrow request for older or more detailed police material. Court records follow the allegation after filing. None should be substituted for another.
| Channel | St. George use | Photo policy | Custody meaning |
|---|---|---|---|
| RCPD Daily News | Recent county report, searched by location | No pretrial photo feed | Report-time snapshot |
| Riley County Jail line | Confirm present confinement or bond | No online roster found | Current custody |
| RCPD Records Division | Older event or specific report | Release is policy-dependent | Historical police record |
| Kansas court system | Case filing and disposition | Not a mugshot source | Post-arrest case |
| News and private pages | Secondary discovery only | May be old or absent | Not authoritative |
RCPD’s FAQ says it withholds arrest mugshots. Its Media Guide says mugshots will be released after conviction only. An unofficial image does not change that policy and should not be treated as a current RCPD product.
Find Who Got Busted St. George
The Daily News uses a countywide publication cycle. Reports are compiled at 6:00 a.m. and generally posted on weekdays near 10:00 a.m. Tuesday through Friday entries cover the previous day’s 6:00 a.m.-to-6:00 a.m. span. Monday covers Friday morning through Monday morning. Holidays and office closures may alter the cycle.
- Visit the RCPD Daily News category and read the period stated in the post.
- Open the generated Arrest Report if present, then search for St. George in the arrest-location information.
- Compare the name, age, date, time, and case number. A single matching name is not enough.
- Call RCJ at 785-537-2112 ext. 1902 to confirm current custody, charge, or bond information.
- Request the older record from RCPD and use the court file to learn the disposition.
The report can list name, age, hometown, arrest date, time, location, agency, charge, count, statute, bond, case number, arrest type, and confinement status. Public release can omit fields, and the narrative covers only selected calls and reports. A person shown as confined may already have left custody.
St. George Busted Feed Limits
The official feed is a recent-report tool, not a live roster and not a lasting city archive. RCPD says Daily News material normally remains posted for about 48 hours. Once it leaves that short web window, an exact records request is the appropriate route. The underlying record does not cease to exist merely because the public post is gone.
The official RCPD Daily News interface is the shared recent source used for a St. George location.

The interface should be read with its date range and disclaimer. It does not promise that every incident, citation, or person remains visible.
No stand-alone St. George log was found, so a missing city result should not be filled with assumptions. Check spelling and the countywide report window, then contact Records. For immediate status, call the jail rather than relying on the post.
Request St. George Arrest Records
RCPD Records is the public record contact for a St. George police event. A well-scoped request names the person, identifies St. George as the event location, gives the date or a tight date range, and includes the case number when known. If the precise record is uncertain, describe whether the request concerns an arrest report, incident report, citation, or another item.

The RCPD records form is the formal KORA request path. Its current terms list a $5 minimum for immediate report or record work and $20 per hour when added research is required. RCPD states that it responds by the close of the third business day after receiving a request, though the first response can be an estimate, the record, or a lawful denial.
A request cannot guarantee a booking photo. Ask for the exact record and allow the custodian to apply Kansas law and RCPD policy. If an image is withheld, the text report and court file may still answer the underlying arrest and case questions.
Small-City Busted Search Lessons
Why does this page exist at all? The 2020 Census counted 1,054 people in St. George, which puts it among Riley County's three largest incorporated places. Size and city status, though, decide nothing about where a booking record sits. The county agencies and the county jail hold the useful paths.
Three traps come up often. People invent a St. George Police Department roster that does not exist. They treat an RCPD report as a current inmate list. Or they mistake a private county page for a city-specific one just because it carries a Riley County name. The better habit is simple: search by report location, call RCJ, and file a city-specific records request.
Timing shifts the right channel too. A fresh arrest may surface in the Daily News. Someone still in custody has to be checked with RCJ. An older police event moves to Records, a filed case belongs with the courts, and anyone sentenced into Kansas state custody shows up through KASPER rather than the county feed.
St. George Booking Court Follow-Up
A police record only captures the moment of the booking. The court file carries the rest. Riley County District Court handles state-law criminal matters in its jurisdiction, and eligible case information can be reached through the Kansas eCourt Public Access Portal or a terminal at the courthouse. Sealed and expunged matters carry access limits.
Bring a case number from the arrest report if you can. When searching by name, match more than the spelling. Dates and charge descriptions keep you from landing on the wrong person. The file may show a dismissal, plea, judgment, or another recorded outcome, and the filed charge can differ from what the booking description said.
- Booking
- The jail intake event after arrest.
- Arraignment
- A court stage at which the filed charge is formally addressed.
- Bond
- Release terms set while a matter is pending.
- Disposition
- The result entered in the court record.
A jail check is still the only way to confirm current custody. A court case can stay open after release, and a closed file says nothing about where someone is housed now.
St. George Arrest News
St. George has no dedicated local mugshot feed. County stories do surface sometimes. Little Apple Post, Citizen Journal, the Manhattan Mercury, WIBW, and Sunflower State Radio may cover an event when the location is St. George. Little Apple Post's arrest archive leans heavily on RCPD media reports, so it aids discovery but offers no independent confirmation.
Private county-level sources call for extra caution. Mugshots.com runs a Riley County section, and JailExchange maintains a Riley County Jail page. Neither site belongs to RCPD. Neither proves current custody. Both can be incomplete or stale. BustedNewspaper, RecentlyBooked, Arrests.org, and Mugshots.zone had no verified local Riley County section in the source review.
Use Mugshots in the News to compare the roles these outlets play. Any unofficial story or image should point back to the official RCPD record and the court file.
